1031 Investment Property Exchange

* The three primary 1031 exchange rules to follow are:

  • Investment properties only
  • 45 days to identify the target property. You have 45 calendar days from the closing date of your relinquished property to produce a written list of potential replacement properties.
  • After closing of escrow, within 180 days, the seller must purchase and close escrow from the list of potential properties.
In Escrow, 1031 Exchange must be included in the counter offer.
